Chad A. Banghart was appointed as President of the New Tolerance Campaign in June 2025. In this role, Banghart leads the organization's daily efforts to expose institutional double standards, direct nationwide activist campaigns, and hold corporations, universities, socially conscious brands and cultural leaders accountable. He oversees the grand strategy, fundraising, media, outreach and coalition building to ensure NTC advances its mission of restoring fairness, integrity, and courage in American public life.

Banghart is the Founder of CB Strategies and The Banghart Media Group, launched after the 2020 and 2022 elections, respectively. CB Strategies began as a consulting firm for grassroots groups and political candidates, focusing on targeted communications, digital fundraising, and campaign strategy. In recent years it expanded to offer services including online voter outreach, social media marketing, and public relations for federal and statewide campaigns, as well as several nonprofit organizations. Banghart then founded The Banghart Media Group while consulting in TV news, podcasts and new media, serving as the executive producer and media booker for a national primetime news show.

Previously, Banghart served as the executive director for two different nationwide political action committees, helping raise tens of millions of dollars in grassroots contributions in order to launch strategic and national advertising campaigns, all while supporting federal candidates in financial and grassroots ways. Some of his earlier roles include working in corporate fundraising and development at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, serving as deputy political director on the re-election of the most popular governor in America at that time. Banghart has also held positions at the Republican National Committee under Reince Priebus and Ronna McDaniel, where he focused on executive operations, digital fundraising, donor experience, strategic sourcing of merchandise, transition efforts, and more. A Michigan native, Banghart began his political career in Governor Rick Snyder’s office during the Flint water crisis.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University, and his Master's Degree from The George Washington University. Banghart currently resides in suburban Michigan with his two Bernedoodles (Millie and Martha) and frequently travels back to Washington, D.C.
